Result: Pasadena1 Won by 54 Runs

What a difference a week makes. Although it was a hard day's work for P1, the wound from previous week and the hunger to fight made it P1's day.  P1 lost the toss and were sent in to bat.  P1 dug it self into deep trouble loosing top 4 batsmen for only 47 runs.  The Hwd2 opening bowlers bowled with good line, length and swing which troubled P1 batsman early on.  Amarjeet was the only top order batsman who seemed to have any answer to Hwd2's swing bowling.  He contributed valuable 22 runs in a low scoring game.  P1's middle and lower order came to rescue once again and provided enough oxygen for the team to come back and fight.  Zia and Jatinder, both proving their worth for the second time in the season, contributed invaluable 24 and 18 respectively.  Manash employed a strategy that baffled the opposition.  His ideas of frustrating the opposition by making them bowl maximum no. of overs helped us gain significant number of extras. Unfortunately, P1 did not get to see the fireworks from Anil K. this time round.

P1 started their bowling with Visal and Anil. Both looked good but Hwd2 openers had a mission in mind.  At one point Hwd2 was 3 down for 60 runs and looking good.  With the introduction of Jatinder and Amarjeet, the man with the Golden Arm who claimed his scalp in his very first over, P1 soon took the charge.  Jatinder with his excellent line and length helped himself with 2 wickets in his 3rd. over and gave himself a hat-rick chance in his 5th over.  Surinder, bowing in tandem, with Jatinder claimed his share of 2 wickets and provided and upper hand to P1. The rest was left to Vishal and Amarjeet to take us home which they did in their respective first overs of the second spell.  It was heartening to see all Pasadenians fighting and throwing themselves after the ball in the field and taking all their catches. Kudos to Shikhar and Surinder for making those awesome catches.

The match was played in excellent sports spirit.  Hwd2 is a worthy opponent.  Good luck to Hwd2 in their upcoming matches.
