Result: Century Won by 3 WicketsReport by Century:
On a bright sunny Saturday Vijayta won the toss and elected to bat first. Century was bowling extremely well in the beginning. Madhuka worked his magic by bagging the openers and the price wicket of last year MVP Timil Patel in the same over. Shan clean bowled Skipper Mehul with a viscous in swinger. Century made early inroads while giving Ravi a life in which he capitalized and scored a brilliant hundred, but they still looked to be in full control of the game having pegged Vijayta back at 130/6 in 34 overs. Last bowling session of Century was quite atrocious and dismal where they accrued 31 WIDES
total for the game and allowed Vijayta back in the game by allowing 92 runs in the final 11 overs and for the loss of just one wicket.
The game was suddenly in favor of Vijayta as they had their main bowling pair of Timil and skipper Mehul defending 222 runs. As expected Timil was able to make early inroads of the Century batting as he bagged inform Manjula and skipper Malinda with some extraordinary bowling. Being down 37/2 it seems that Vijayta was in the driving seat. Opener Peshaan and Dineth had other plans where they batted quite brilliantly hammering away the bowling and building a much needed partnership to balance the scale. After an excellent runout by Ravi to get the danger man Peshaan out, Century middle order still was able to seal the deal with excellent contributions of Dineth, Mevan, Madhuka, and Hiran. Well played Century and good luck to Vijayta for the remainder of the year.
Man of the match - Clearly for his attributes in the field and for his swashbuckling innings, Peshaan aka Slasher WedanarachchiScorecard
