A Beautiful Match of Cricket Dominated by By Bowlers and Fielders !!!

With gentle breeze coming from pacific ocean in to ground and a Bikini models Photo shoot going around Marina vista park, It was almost a near perfect day to play cricket @ Marina Vista park, Having won the toss Hollywood 4 decided to bowl first and stick to their trademark brand of cricket, restrict the opposition to a par score and chase it with ease and with Left arm seamer Ravi Bhakta back in their side it seemed to be a correct ploy. Pacifica openers played cautiously and got of to a decent start of  49-0 in 13.5 overs. On stroke of first break of innings, First match centurion for Pacifica, Pawan got bowled to a good straight ball from Sowri.

Second session of innings wasn't that great for Pacifica. Parisheel got run out and Preetham got out with out adding much to score and those two quick blows kept pacifica reeling on 61-4 in 18.3 overs. It was AGAIN  a poor performance from Pacifica middle order who failed to capitalize on a decent start given by their openers kept loosing wickets at regular intervals of time because of some good tight line and length bowling from Holly wood 4 spinners, Amit and Co. Amit completed a wonderful spell of 7.1-1-12-4.  and Pacifica was able to post a below par score of 107 in 36 overs.
Then Came the fun part of the Day. One should admit that Hollywood 4 are A wonderful hosts!! Food and hospitality was really great and Pacifica would specially like to thank Suresh and Hollywood 4 for providing such a great hospitality.

Having beaten Eagles in last game and wrapping them for a mere score of 82, Pacificans  were super high in spirits and were confident enough to defend 107. That attitude clearly reflected on field and were bang on target right from ball one. They struck to same ploy of opening with Pace and Spin and it did wonders to Pacifica this time. Preetham and Prashanth choked Hollywood 4 team with some SUPER tight bowling and fielding was super Razor sharp for entire innings.  Singles were dried out and scoring a BOUNDRY seemed next to impossible. This infused A DEFENSIVE FRAME OF MINDSET into Hollywood 4 team players who eventually started holing out to fielders. Prashanth completed a good disciplined spell of 6-1-12-2 and Jubin joined party with some exceptional outswing bowling and took out hollywood 4 inform batsmen Amit Jejuriker with a peach of delivery and that swung the game completly towards pacifica. Hollywood showed some resistance and tried to play sensibly with Satish blocking one end. But it took some deciplined bowling from Parisheel and Chandru to wrap up the innings.

Moments of the DAY:
- A full blooded drive from a hollywood 4 batsmen was stopped by ' GREAT WALL OF PACIFICA'  Chaitu diving full towards  to his left at short covers and stopping the ball while still in air and denying a boundary to hollywood.  That set the tone for pacificans in the field and every one were stinkingly miser in giving singles to Hollywood. Hollywood couldn't score a single boundary the entire innings.
- A peach of a delivery bowled by Jubin to bowl Hollywood Player Shivram. that was a PERFECT OUTSWINGER and ball of the day.
- A wonderful single handed catch taken by Hollywood 4 Player Shivram at square leg diving full to his right.

Overall it was a wonderful match of cricket thoroughly dominated by bowlers and fielders. Best of luck to Hollywood 4 for future games.
