Result: Pioneer Lost by 4 Wickets

A Decent Performance by Pacifica in a Crunch Match.

After being asked to bowl first on a pace friendly track in Marder, Pacifica started bowling decently and restricted Pioneer to 29-3 in 9 overs until Monty starting to cutloose after 4 generous catch drops from pacifica's fielders. Pioneer was all set for a huge score at mid way of innings. with Monty set at one end and score reflecting 111-4 in 20 overs. Pacifica came back strongly and restricted pioneer to more manageable 162, thanks to aggressive stuff from Chandru and Preetham.  Chandru was super miser from one end and ended up with final figures of 8-3-11-1.

Loss to Calbel was fresh in pacifica's players mind and were super determined to pull this chase but started poorly, both openers got out in first 4 overs and Pacifica looked in deep trouble. Pacifica middle order started playing sensibly and rotated strike frequently stealing quick singles. Middle order pair Abhishek and Prashanth added 79  runs for 5th wicket and brought pacifica as close as possible to target. after set batsmen Abhishek got out for a sensible 32 runs which included some marvelous boundaries, Pioneer tried to tighten the noose by bringing in field and stopping singles.  Prashanth played sensibly till the end and brought Pacifica home with some risk free runs.

In the End It was a Much needed win to pacifica to  stay in top of the group 5 division. Good luck Pioneer for remaining games, Looking forward for playing again on 9/29.
